LOCATION : Chilliwack

TYPE OF POSITION: Full-Time

HOURS: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with flexibility required to meet program needs.

Position Summary

The House Coordinator oversees daily residential operations, supervises and trains staff, and ensures children and youth receive safe, individualized, high-quality care in accordance with support plans, organizational policies, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee individualized care, behavioural support plans, medication administration, and personal development.
  • Promote the safety, well-being, independence, and community participation of children and youth.
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and support staff performance and development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized residential environment.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, health and safety requirements, and emergency procedures.
  • Communicate with families, care teams, schools, community agencies, and management.
  • Maintain accurate care records, daily logs, progress reports, and incident analyses.
  • Manage household budgets, petty cash, personal purchases, and other resources.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Education and Certification

  • Diploma in Social Services or a related field.
  • Valid First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence.

Experience and Knowledge

  • Three years of related experience, including one year of supervisory or administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting children and youth with developmental or behavioural needs.
  • Knowledge of individualized care plans, behavioural support strategies, and crisis prevention.
  • Familiarity with ABA, Mandt, CPI, PICS, PECS, and alternative communication methods.
  • Knowledge of community resources, WorkSafeBC requirements, CARF standards, and meal planning.

  • Ability to supervise staff, manage daily operations, and maintain accurate documentation.

Benefits:

Wages: $31.88 per Hour, plus extended benefits
