General Job Description:

This is a  Live-In home support worker position.

Some positions will require you to work every weekend and some positions will require you to work alternate weekends (Friday am-Monday am)

Pathway Community Services Ltd. Provides residential support services to children with a wide range of abilities and challenges, who have been diagnosed with  ADHD, OCD, FASD, ASD, developmental delays , mental health issues , as well as high risk behaviours. In order to work successfully within  our team, the ideal candidate should  have a strong work ethic and a high standard of practice in all areas.

As well, the ideal candidate should have the flexibility and willingness to work with children who may present high risk and challenging behaviours. Availability to engage in ongoing training is needed. Managing emergency situations in a stressful environment is an ongoing expectation. Evening and weekend work is required.

Knowledge and adherence to Pathway Community Services Ltd’s policies is expected.

To efficiently meet all documentation requirements within established timelines

To commit to  all scheduled shifts

 

  1. Requirements/ Assets
  • 1-3 years previous work in a similar environment 
  • Certificate and/or degree in the Social Services or related field (asset) 
  • Class 5 driver’s license required for all positions. With clear Drivers Abstract
  • NVCI or MANDT (preferred) 
  • First Aid Certification
  • TB Test/Physician Certificate of Fitness
  • Commitment and adherence to all points in Job Description

 

Benefits:

Wages- $ 270.30 per day.
